Hey everyone,
It's been a while seen I last posted here, but I've been lurking around from time to time.
I would really appreciate some insight/info on Power Stop's gold zinc plated rotors for front and back as well as brake pads my them. I'm due for new brake pads and rotors in a another thousand miles or two, and I want to upgrade from my stock rotors and pads. I have a 04 SE-R Spec V with the 2.5L without the Brembo 4 piston brakes. Power Stop's websites sells rotors and pads for sentra's but not for "wagons" or "SER SPEC" which I assume is my model...
Question is, why not carry those rotors and pads for the Spec V but for all other models? I could understand if mine had the Brembo 4 piston brakes, but I don't have those...only option my Spec V is missing.
I was wondering if anyone on the forum might have a Spec V with Power Stop rotors and pads and how its worked out for them. I'm just a bit nervous about buying a brake set up that might not work 100% efficiently on my car. The last thing I need is not having the proper stopping power and hit something or someone...
I ideally was thinking of doing the zinc gold plated rotors with hawk high performance brake pads in the front and back, which is a previous setup I used on my previous car (which improved my braking greatly!) before my current sentra.
Does anyone else have any good setups for rotors and brake pads that will properly fit/are made for an 04 Spec V along with pads without fear of compromising stopping power (or breaking the bank)? I'd like to hear your feedback and opinions.
Thanks in advance guys!

The SER and the Spec V have the same brakes except for the brembo ones. I'd recommend just getting brembo blanks and some hawk pads. That'll give you a good bite.

Not to sound stupid, but what exactly are brembo blanks? Would that be the rotors? Do you know of a good site that I can view these and see some prices?

Brembo is the brand, and when you say blank, that means just plain rotors with no drilling or slots.
We have a sponsored vendor here that sells them and in a good price as well. Importcarpartsplus and Justin is the contact. PM him or email him.

Thanks for the explanation MoltenNismo.
I will try to contact Importcarpartsplus and inquire about the blanks and maybe the Hawk pads as well.
