has anybody done this or is it even possible? i dont currently need to rebuild but just making plans while im doing all of this work.
IMO, if your going yo spend money on koni struts you might as well spend a bit more and buy tdmi coilovers and support the community.
hey superspec...Koni cartridge inserts do not fit in Nismo Struts (KYBs). The front Koni cartridge inserts are only compatible with OEM strut housings...
I don't believe they do....you would have to buy new KYB struts.
I am unsure if the KYB struts were valved differently for the NISMO suspension setup or not, compared to the factory replacement KYB struts for the Spec V. If they were not valved differently, you could just buy replacement front KYB struts for the Spec V and swap over the NISMO springs.
fuck it i may just pull and shelve them while they still have low miles and get some BC
I wasn't preaching you to support the community. Just a suggestion instead of spending money on a less effective setup.
have you been in a car with nismo suspension? ive had or ridden on everything out there with the exception of the tdmi and bc. just looking at the tdmi though they look to be more for the "hey ive got coilovers" crowd. i want something that will do what i want it to do.
no, i am def. a morning person.
I've ridden the nismo suspension and it felt like OEM but slightly lowered. From what I've heard the springs are progressive. I've also ridden on just about every suspension for a Honda. Best suspension was buddy club and I feel TDMI is just as effective.
I've never rode on BCs for our cars but from the reputation you already know their accepted.
Coilovers that are just to say you have coilovers are ksports.
