I would jump in if I was coming alone, but we're getting our own cabin.

That was also the question I had. What if I only stay 4 days? Is it flat rated for each team of people? My cost for the stay in the house is roughly 550?
@AOSpec we could spoon it up on a Queen size at night to cut costs in half hahaha jk

heard the same thing from car groups here
    "the place will be mobbed"

    it's ok though
there are so many alternate routes

i just laid out several multiple hour runs
damn, even much of the run from my house to there is a blast

the longer runs can be very tiring
if run at the speeds we were at last year

    some people complained last year,
the traditional route was so short.
in approx 15mins we were through

these runs are 4 to 5 times as long

    imo

However we work it, it will be fair and equitable to everyone, those just staying a few days, wouldnt have to pay for a whole week, I cannot say how much everyone owes at this point, but we need to get a hard decision made so we can find out how much of a deposit is needed. they have all kinds of tack on fees as well, such as housekeeping, insurance, maintenance, etc. once we have a place picked out, and the deposit amount known, I will post up and let everyone know what it is. Basically, you are looking at around $600 for a week, we can further break that down into days, for those that wont be staying that long. Roughly (very roughly) $85 a day. This will be more ballpark than anything else. and pretty much in line with everything up there as far as lodging goes. We do need hard numbers tho, no pussyfooting around, lollygagging, postponing, etc.

Yes, the actual dragon is a short run, but by the time we got everyone together to leave by the time we got to the other end (two trips already for some people) it was time to eat, shop, socialize, pics, etc. by the time we got back to the hotel room, it was in my opinion, time to wind down, relax, have a beer, and socialize some more, pictures, etc. the second day, on the Cherohala run, was a longer drive, much longer. left earlier, stopped to eat, and by the time we got back everyone was ready to relax. the few younger ones that wanted to or will want to drive more roads, are more than welcome to any time they want. Us old farts are on vacation, lol.
