Here's a pic of a 4x114.3 s14 OEM 15" wheel with z32 brakes. Granted this is on an s14 and he used 15mm spacers, it just shows that it fits.

15mm spacer are a lot! Special if u want to go to the drag strips or do auto cross.

    Team Dynamics 17" on an '03 Spec-V.
With the M30 rotors, and no shaving.. just the washers.. yeah, that's sounding good to me.

    Think it'd fit?

It's all about the spoke design really, offset plays a roll as well, but even a crappy offset wheel will fit if the spokes are far out enough near the center.

If I could pull the big rotor thing, I wouldn't need spacers because my spokes come out up top/mid of the rim. There is a pic a page or 2 back trying to explain what I'm talking about.

15mm spacers for autox are actually better, giving you more track width and such. Just put 15mm all around! Woot!

And how big are the rotors for the s14? I know the 4 lug 240sx rotors are small, like 10.2" so it may not be relevant when using 10.75"

Actually, with the z32 calipers, they use the z32 rotors which are 11" , with us being a tad smaller and the caliper moved closer to the center of the hub should give us a bit more space. I remember my s13 had 9" rotors.

Sweet, then a 15 seems possible Barry!

Next time we meet up somewhere just bring one of your 15" wheels and we'll throw it on my car and see how it sits. I have 15mm spacers up front, so if it clears diameter I think it should fit fine.

In theory, all you really need to do is measure from the center of the hub to the farthest part of the caliper, if that clears 7.5" (assuming 15"/ 2 to get the center of the 15" wheel) give or take a few hairs then it should be plausible.

    thanks people
this thing may auto-x and drag race with a simple coilover reset

sammy you will have to drive this again it will be a different car

even rolling it down the driveway [several times lol] felt different

with the 6 point roll bar tight, the fender bars and trunk bar in, this thing is rigid

    btw
the new rear brakes now perform emergency stopping functions too
i could stop it easily with the parking brake and a good hard yank

    but on the drag strip
the wider the wheel spacing [track] the more leverage each wheel has, as it breaks and makes traction on launch
leading to erratic, non straight launches, add torque steer
    and oh boy

thats why dragsters use such a narrow rear track

Just to be sure as to what you're sayin-with the m30 rotors you don't need to shave them? they bolt on and don't hit the caliper?

Correct, no shaving. They are in 4x114.3, and they fit perfect.

The reason we need to shave ours is that our rotor diameter is at 11" and the M30 is at 10.78". We're required to shave the 11" by 1/4" making it 10.75" to clear it, but 10.78" clears it just fine.

Sammy, have you found any performance rotors for the m30?

Not yet, haven't really looked. Not much extra money right now. Lol. I'm kinda pushing to try my idea at the 12.75" upgrade now though, I have a few leads and people interested in helping make it happen. My autozone rotors will work until then unless the bbk idea fails miserably.

Wow for a pair? Damn that's cheap.

    Yea Barry, you're looking for a 90 non-turbo car.
    http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm#frontbrake

EDIT: Barry, I just checked out the part number and it shows under 91 TT as well, so I don't know if that's the same since 91 TT uses the 30mm.

    Ok, just did more reading.
P1399 are the 30mm (just don't know if they're the aluminum or iron)
    P1397 are the 26mm

Autzone can't tell the difference between aluminum, iron, 30mm or 26mm. So every time you order it's a hit or miss. For the most part, when you order 91+ you get 30mm and it could be either iron or aluminum, wont know till you get it. and 50% chance when you order 90 NA you get 26mm lol.

I can get semi loaded 30mm calipers reman. for $110 (after returning core). Coems with hardware, but no pads.
If you have 5 lug, you can do the 30mm swap for about $250 (calipers, pads, lines), and get some 300zx rotors and mill them down and your set. With the 12.75" upgrade I'm working on, I'm hoping for $550 all said and done. It's in the works...

The only thing is that I can't seem to find a decent company that has the adapters. I can't find anybody selling JSK, R1Wurks or the Punk Racing ones. All I found are ebay stuff and I'm kinda iffy on the quality. I might just say screw it and get 13" wilwoods from 2j.

bro why would you shave down the 300zx rotor, it should fit already right?
