Also, it seems as if they are different cars and different years. So who knows for sure.

Well you can work on your sentra.. So far my sentra is far from cheap.

And lets determine how 'cheap' this swap is after everything is done.

    yeah me too

i choose the sentra for cost too

Usually, when parts are identical, and a later part number is introduced, it'll supercede to the new part number. I don't understand why there are 2 different part numbers (and prices) for the same part. There has to be a difference somewhere..Maybe it's nothing that affects performance, but, SOMETHING has to be different.

Part numbers can be one is a LSD dif in it and the other is a open dif so they dont put LSD's which cost more into cars that didnt come with them. That would make sense to me.

That would make sense.. However, both housings are 100% identical, and you can use either housing in either application.

It could also be what it was on, the intake plenum on my Z31 is the same thing on the turbo or the N/A but yet they have two different part numbers because they have different things that attach onto the plenum itself depending on if its a turbo or n/a

^^ this is more than likely what it is because working with the altimas and maximas I know that they can put LSD into their existing housings. Also with the Racingline Precat project we found out that there are a ton of VQ precat part numbers, but only 3 actual cat body's. The difference is where the support tab is welded/bolted on, the cats are otherwise the same. The different support tab is the reason for the 12 different part numbers
