    Default Clutch problem lately

Past month ive been having problems with my clutch, the pedal isnt coming back up all the way and the gearbox feels very clunky. Sometimes its really hard to get into gears and I have to kick up the clutch pedal and theres a lot of play in the top inch of the clutch pedal. I tried bleeding the clutch but the problem is still there. Is it a bad slave cylinder? Im using DOT3 btw. I checked around the slave and master and theres no leaks anywhere.

I had the similar problem last year. It might be the slave cylinder. But if you're gonna change the slave, you also have to change the master cylinder. (well, thats what my mechanic said. So thats what i did)

And a month ago, my clutch gave out. One morning i was driving then out of nowhere my clutch became from "stiff" to "like a butter". Then the car kept stalling. After 3miles, when i was about to shift, the clutch pedal didn't went up and the car stalls. So, i had it towed.
The solution is a new clutch assembly.

I hope this helps u out even a little.

it isnt really hard but youll be spending time under the dash reaching way up. if you have a friend handy keep them around so they can hold the master while you put the nuts on the inside. if no friends just get creative and find somehting to wedge between the master and the strut tower while you put the nuts on. if you lack patience i wouldnt try it though.

Well I changed the slave cylinder and put in fresh dot4 and bled it. the clutch felt good all week but this morning it was real.cold went to go drive to work and the clutch pedal stuck near the floor. I had to kick it up and pump it a bunch so I could put it into gear. also my clutch sounds real squeeky near the top of the pedal or by the master. also sometimes when I go into reverse are sitting all night the clutch makes a.l/oud whine sound like squeeling brake pads. sometimes when starting off in 1st I hear a metallic chattering I'm not sure if its my cai vibrating or what

IIRC from reading the FSM last week on this exact problem it calls for dot 3. do i always follow the FSM to a T, no but when it comes to fluids other than the trans i do.

Hmm I've always thought dot4 was pretty much the same and interchangeable with dot3 but it had a higher boiling point.
