    Default Clutchmaster stage1

I just recently boosted. 120k on the stock clutch and not surprisingly the clutch cant take the boost above third gear. Im looking into a clutchmaster stage1. Its in my price range and claims 70% better clamping force over stock. Anyone use this? Any other suggestions? Trying to keep the cost under $400...

I have the CM stage 3 FX300 clutch 16psi no issues. 10K miles of abuse still spins the wheels at 60mph

I hear plenty of horror stories about people having run any aftermarket throwout bearings so when you do buy, don't buy a kit and use a oem throwout bearing.
Sorry no help for you on the actual clutch. Find several different places that sell it on line and check the reviews.

My gripe with Clutchmasters Stage 1 kit is that the sprung clutch disc broke apart and let two springs out, basically crapping it out after only 20k miles. I went with an unsprung clutch disc and haven't looked back.

just my $.02 but i believe theyre all like the same price as far as which 'stage' you go with so personally i'd go a little overkill. i have a competition clutch stage 3 and its still COMPLETELY streetable. I'd have no issue in stop n go if i had to. That way it leaves room for more power down the road

"I think we need to do a little street racing 101 and understand that, you know... as a general courtesy you should, uh, floor your car an additional 100mph over the speed in which you start. It's just like the, uh, '100mph courtesy'... You start at 60, you don't let off 'til 160. You start at 30, you AT LEAST go to 130. And attempting to, uh, run like Houston interstates with traffic directly in front of you... These 60 to 80 pulls; these 60 to 95mph pulls... What the fuck is that shit about?" -IMV Films

Use oem throwout bearing. They have it figured out. If you search around you will find countless people that have had horror stories from the use of aftermarket bearings and they all seem to end up with the oem unit.
