Default found my tranny problem today

this is a problem ive been chasing for a while. first started with a super stiff clutch. at the end of my 12 mile drive to work and 12 miles home the bottom of my foot would be killing me. ive had many manual cars even 1 with a cable clutch and this was by far the stiffest ive ever driven. about a month ago it got to where i had to start the car in neutral and then select a gear other wise the starter was trying to move the car. about 2 weeks ago it got almost impossible to hit 1st or reverse without some serious grinding.

today i walked out with the car already on jack stands about 2 feet in the air and decided to pull a few bolts just to get stated...2 hours later i was ready to drop the trans. my dad came over to help get it on the floor and after pulling the TO bearing fork this is what i found. if you havent opened up a manual trans before you may not see the problem but if you have it should slap you in the face like a big fat cock!!!!!!!!!!

just last week i went to the dealer to order every fucking thing there was for a trans outside of opening up the case....everything!!!!!!!!!!! except the ball that fits into the the socket on the TO bearing fork. i had no idea that was a serviceable item. 3 days ago i had a dream that when i pulled the fork off that it would be full of metal shavings and today when i popped it off there it was, just like i dreamed, i imediately went inside for another whiskey. i swear sometimes i can see the future!

yes it had a nice liberal wad of moly grease in the socket, on the ball, on the TO bearing and on the input shaft. this is the 3rd time this trans has been out for somehting related to this area. internaly its fine.
