no it's not the stock clutch. it won't do it when it's like >40degrees but as soon as it starts hitting the freezing weather it will start to slip sometimes.

oh k. I just took my car for ride after 3wks parked up to VTR & clutch doesnt slip at all. But Its just kinda scary driving in 30 degree temp no traction at all with 14psi.

LMAO thanks how did u know I needed a new one. hey on the serious note your fluid made need to be flush out & put a new set of fluids in there. You may have some type of moisture in the system

well the weather was nice today in the 50's, took it out for a test run 3rd and 4th gear and there was no slipage. i guess it was due to the weather, weird.

yea you might get that one day it slips and another day it doesnt all depends on how hot that stock clutch gets. but id still be on the lookout for a new clutch.

ive had this issue. correct me if im wrong but i believe thats due the clutch getting to hot and rapidly cools off as it would in the winter. Its happened to me years ago when i was young and dumb and used to do OD amounts of burn outs in my accord. either that or the teeth on the clutch are wearing that happened to my boy with his act clutch.

My car is doing the same thing, but Im not sure if it is the clutch or the tires spinning, it happens in 1-3 or maybe even 4th dont remember i will have to check, I have not really paid attention whether or not the mph jump with the rpms. it happens at about 4k rpm and about 11psi.

If the clutch was slipping would I not smell it??

    raise from the dead.

So is this really a cold weather issue? I figured my car was spinning tires because it's been wet outside the past few days and my tires were crappy.
I got new tires, and it's dry tonight, with some 50 degree-ish weather and I was getting the same result of these "spinning tires" Lol
So I figured if it's my tires, they wont spin in 6th gear. But.. Sure enough, same thing happened. I guess this 300zx clutch isn't going to cut it like I thought. Onto something new.
