    Default maps on factory ECU

I'm going to post up what some of the maps look like in UpRev's Map Editor.

    Target AFR map:

ignition timing...... not standard degrees BTDC....... calculates fuel burn time...... but, changing a value 1 numbers is about 1/2 timing.

Were you able to achieve WOT? If so, please post the Electronic Throttle map.

Most of the maps have a max value for RPM at 6000-6400. I'm installing springs and cams to run at 7000-7200. Do I need to extend the RPM range on the Y axis?

    no, lol.

There is a fuel compensation map that has to be correctly tuned for the target AFR maps to be accurate.

ALSO, when you add larger injectors, you have to tweak the injector to MAF scaling, aka the K value, to get things in the ball park first. Then you tweak the compensation maps, before you can even worry about the target maps even being close, lol. Because you can tweak the MAF tables, you can really extend how much air flow the stock MAF can take before it maxes out.

You can also directly tweak the MAF tables kinda like an SAFC.

This is why I want to do a base map based on modded stock injectors..... that way noone has to buy injectors ever again, just modify the stockers and flash the base fueling map.

    QR.

I haven't tried tuning that as of yet. I live in downtown Atlanta now and not the suburbs...... nowhere to really open up a 300whp car over and over.

    .
You can extend the RPMs, but you're not going to gain extra load points, so you'll end up with skewed maps until you retune. I would definitely extend the maps into the RPM ranges you want to run.

Cant wait to get mine and start playing.
Has anyone tried using launch control via map switching? I saw mention of this on the 350z forum. Just wondering if it will work for us too.

do you think the car will idle smooth with the modified stock injectors. i unhooked the megasquirt, and with the modified stocks the car wont start until i turned fuel pressure down to 20psi and idles like shit. wondering if the up rev you can get it smoothed out. other wise i gonna throw in something else.

Haven't had time to mess with it. There shouldn't be any reason why it won't work.
