Man your info is a lil messed up the safc will not give you "boost" and on a N/A car that is almost stock yeah it will increase the power but dont expect 100hp it will give you something around 3-10hp tops, also the header and the short ram on your car both combined will give you like idk10-15hp also none of this mods will help your car last longer or anything, unless the 1.8s also have the precat issue which im pretty sure they dont.. still happy modding dude

i know it wont give me no 100-200hp i was lookin' at at least 25-40hp. From lookin' at Gears on Speed Tv, if i add a header;short ram cai, and a air/fuel ratio setup. I will get my motor to last longer and u can blame dat man for tell ppl dat. Now u cant say that he dont know what he's talkin about cause he deals wit all types of sh*t. So i got the idea of havin' a wideband air/fuel ratio, header, and short ram cai from, but i was thinkin about the SAFC controller off the top of the head. Also how much can i get out of it if i add just the header, short ram cai and the safc controller? Oh yeah i will be runnin' a 2.5 pipping and i have a regular exhaust too. I have a pic here,

Nice car dude(like the rims and the drop , not feeling the wing tho) and yeah all those parts will give you like 20-25hp tops maybe less since some of the turbocharged 1.8 guys have like 140-160hp, and about the engine lasting longer by getting a safc and a tune yeah it will on a medium or highly modified engine but in a near stock one im skecptical, still have fun dude.

Check out qg18de.net, they will have the wiring diagrams for the SAFC. Good luck on your power quest.

I wanna know if i get the wideband air/fuel ratio set up or the safc on my car when i have the header on it. I truly have to put the car on the dyno or can i get the same results by driving my car on the road to see how to function the computer on my car. Cause i got word dat i have to put it on the dyno it self to get it right instead of driving the car on the road to get it set up? I do know its not a plug and play thang when it cums to putting the wideband or the safc controller on a car, so help me out on this. I wanna make sure i have the set up RIGHT, i want sum power out of my car and i love my car........... one key thing i have a automatic too...................

If you buy a wideband and SAFC, you don't need to dyno tune, you can just tune it yourself. With just an SAFC, you will need to bring it to a shop to tune on a dyno.

Well if i just get the wideband i sont have to put on a dyno to right? Just hook it up right and set it to where it wont read wrong. Cause i seen one on a Spec-v one time at the car dealership and it had the gauge and a small lil box to go wit it. I been told by shift_sniper that it would be pointless from puttin a safc on my car wit the header and cai, and he told me dat a wideband is just the gauge but its not. A wideband is more than a gauge dat tells u if u lean medium or rich, it has a small computerize box that go wit it so it can operate wit the motor air and fuel flow. Then the safc can do 2 or 3 things at one time and it can get u alil something to ur car as gas, air, voltage, and function wise. So tell me whats best for me to get when i get my OBX header, short ram cai, and my exhaust put onto my car. The wideband or the safc? I just want my car to run like a CHAMP, but if i want it to run like most of yall cars. I have to get a Ser, Spec-V swap, Sv or Vq swap, intercooler wit a turbo and cai added. So those are most things have to have in order to be up wit yall wit speed and boost wise.

I'll tell you right now that a wideband ONLY monitors air/fuel ratio's, it does NOT tune anything on the car or change how the car runs in anyway. The box you are referring to is converting the signal from the sensor and has outputs for the gauge, serial outputs for datalogging, etc. (based on what wideband you have).

You WILL need an SAFC to tune, and you will need BOTH if you'd like to tune the car yourself.

Ooooooooooooooooooooh dats what the lil box is for and i see why most companies sell that device round 100-300 for it. I see some just wit the gauge on ebay but i be see other ppl round here wit the gauge and lil box on their car. So its best to get the safc if i want my car to run/function better than it was on stock ECU huh!!!!! Also i can see why sum ppl on here selling most of theirs cause they dont need them but i do be seeing sum wit the Emanager blue on their cars. A rought count how much do u think dat a dyno test would run if i just get the safc?

Anywhere from $80-120 for a few dyno pulls and tuning.

I think you should get your bolts on befor you think of tuning the car... and start reading a lot... No effence but a short ram intake(SRI) is not a CAI= Cold air intake...

Everyone has to start but dont start at the finish line...
