Default Call out for Osiris Uprev Users

I have a 2006 sentra se-r spec v and right now i have the tuner version on its way from 2jracing.

There is very few threads out there for Uprev tuning and knowledgeable facts that will help out new users.

My tuner is going to tune it but i would still like to know what the hell im looking at because the software is going to be on my laptop.

Would i run into any issues with a 2006 spec v?? I can still use 5 maps and use my cruise control?? i read i will run into issues with that.

AND ANY OTHER USEFUL FACTS OR HELP FOR TUNING FOR BEST RESULTS WILL BE AWESOME! I know advance timing can also be done with uprev.

Lets make this thread help others so more 04 to 06 spec v can run uprev!

i have a thread started on tsvb about tunig on uprev, but due to certain circumstances, i haven't had time to install my new injectors and tune again.

you'll have map switching on the 06 ecu, supposedly it's one of the few ecu's that will hold 5 maps. i wasn't able to get mine to switch maps, but there's a lot of misinformation as to how to use map switching on the sentra. i've read quite a few able to use it via cruise control, and others with cruise and the brake.

hopefully joe or justin can chime in soon.

so your running one map cuz you cant switch it im guessing???

and for those that are wondering what im adding with uprev, is fully ported head, c1 cams with jwt valve springs, bc retainers, vq throttle body with port matched intake manifold.

And yes im going to be leaving justins number with my tuner. i hope justin doesnt mind lol

Tuning is the same concept regardless of what 'method' you use to tune...turn to google or pick up a book if you want to learn how to tune. If you're asking about Osiris specific features, that's a diff story

Im not to confident on tuning myself lol i cant risk blowing up at all. BUT what do you mean specific Osiris features?? this is something i wouldnt know. I want to know as much as i can so i can let my shop know what osiris can do and make sure he went that detailed on my tune.

with the aem f i/c i maybe gained 5hp and 5tq but with the uprev i expect bigger gains than that reving to 7200.

You get the cable, and some software with it. The cable itself has the license. IIRC, once you flash your ECU, you'll transfer the license to the ECU, thus you can't flash any other ECU, unless it already has a license. You can use any laptop, but it will only have a license to flash 1 ECU.

Once you plug in and extend the CAN wires, it should show an ECU part number. If you let me know the part number I can e-mail you the correct patched ROM file.

For those who dont know Justin is the ONLY reason we have Uprev for the Spec-Vs. He worked with UpRev to develop, debug and clean up UpRev for our cars. Please continue to support us by purchasing your UpRev licenses and cables through 2J-Racing.

I don't think so. I think that just gives you the license. You need to get the standard or 500 one to get the cable. I think you get the cable with the cipher though, but if you don't have the license you can't flash anything.

Thats the license, which we can flash on your 04-06. If you want a cable, tuner software and license its $700 shipped. That means you have control of your ECU, you can change it on the fly.

The tuner version is the cool one that lets you do all the neat stuff yourself. The Tuner version is $699....... it includes the cable, the license, the software, patched ROM, and gives you the ability to do unlimited flashes and a lot of cool stuff to your car, It also includes the diagnostic, logging, and consult emulator, Cipher. Cipher can be used on any Nissan without the need for any licensing..... which means you can bump your friends timing or idle up (Cipher DOES work with 02-03 cars)

If you look at the other tuning devices out there, like AEM FIC, SAFC, etc. the price isn't much more, but what it can do is leaps and bounds above what either can do. (sorry 02-03 guys)

The more people use it the better it'll be supported in the B15 community. People will be able to start sharing tip, tunes, fixes etc.
