I'm compiling all data from across the intarwebs about this...so lets start.

Technically we're not a stand alone, so if the moderators want to move this thread to the other tuning forum, and also move our name from this thread to that... it would be more accurate
Cipher is $300 retail and is a Cable that connects between your computer and the OBDII port on your car. We use the CAN BUS instead of OBDII because it is far faster data transmission, and it allows us better information. We use Cipher to Datalog and Diagnose problems, it is a baby version of the full ConsultIII the Nissan and Infiniti dealerships use. It also when set up right allows us to flash Osiris onto the ECU.
Osiris Flash Service is $400 it allows us to control the ECU. A Pro Tuner will flash your vehicle with Osiris and then dyno tune it allowing for the most accurate and safe tune. We do use it as a mail in service for customers that want to do basic settings (ie. Speed/RPM removal) or if they already use a Stand Alone or Piggy Back EMS system so they can lock down the stock ECU. We generally speaking do not offer a mail in flash service for customers wanting a tune. We can do it but it's not the safest way of going about tuning a car. Tunes are not a one size fit all product, no matter what our competition may try and claim.
Osiris Standard is $700, it includes Cipher and Osiris Flash Service, and we bundle it with three free eTunes. The big deal here is that before we'll offer Osiris Standard we want to have a number of base tunes created for a specific year and model vehicle. We don't want to send out a base tune that isn't even close to your vehicle as it isn't safe to do. We bundle it with the Cipher cable so that you can datalog the vehicle and send us back the info we need so we can make sure it is safe and running properly. The 3 free eTunes is there so we don't have to charge you to update the tune to be more specifically for your vehicle, we want to make sure the tune runs right on your car and we don't want to have to penalize you for it.
Osiris Tuner is $900 and is the highest end product. It was designed to be the tool race teams use. They need access to as much of the tune as possible, so we included 98% of the Pro Tuner software control into it. It's bundled with the Cipher cable for datalogging and flashing abilities. It is priced to be competitive in the retail marketplace and as such it does not come with anything beyond up and running support. We will not take calls or e-mails with questions about problems your tune is having or even base questions about how to tune. If we had to support the tuning questions the retail price would be somewhere near $2000 and would have put it outside the retail market place. We decided it was better to get it in the hands of more people and it also helps us to support cars that we don't have direct support for.
eTune is $50 and allows us to do e-mail tune updates for Osiris Standard owners with NA vehicles. eTunes are not safe on forced induction.
HPX MAF is $244 and is a stock MAF replacement for use on vehicles that flow more air than the stock MAF can meter. Normally it is only used in FI applications and it does require Osiris of some flavor so we can scale the MAF tables to accept it. It will not work with a stock ECU. It is not a performance modification, it cannot add power it is simply a air flow sensor.
---------------------------
The current plan is Cipher, Osiris Tuner, and Pro Tuners having the ability to tune the Sentra and other 2.5 motor vehicles. Customer will either have to come to us here in Austin TX, or to one of our Pro Tuners to get the ROM from their ECU downloaded and sent to us. I don't want to make any promises on turn around time for patching the ROM, we're currently sitting on about 4 weeks turn around. Once the ROM is patched, you will be able to have the Pro Tuner dyno tune your vehicle, or do the tuning yourself with Osiris Tuner. We'll have a forum up soon that will allow for exchanging tuning info and support as we have a zero support policy on Osiris Tuner to keep the pricing down.
---------------------------
Absolutely will work better than SAFC style tuning. The same ECU hardware is used in all Nissan products, and all share the exact same benefits. Check some of the forums we're more active in for info about the difference between how we handle tuning on the stock ECU and using piggy back devices. There is a ton of info on my350z.com about it if you search.
I'd love to get the discussion going here but that will take a little while and frankly since they are the same base technology-wise, it will be the exact same information and reasons.
I'll try and answer questions when I have time, so please feel free to start a few threads with some good questions, make sure to e-mail me and remind me to check/answer the threads. rich@uprev.com

hey ash are you sending me hints![]()
i talked to a pro tuner (performace motorsports L.I) that does the uprev i have a o6 spec v and they tell me it may or may not work once you buy the license for the software its yours so if it dont work you lost 400 buks correct if wrong its meant mostly for the 350 n g35 one spec v was done by uprev and they say it works now its up to the tuner.
^ by the way welcome.
it works on the Spec V on accident. It's one of those things that because the 350Z etc use the same ECU it just happens it works for the Spec V.
I've been working w/ UpRev for about 1.5 years on this because I used it to tune Nissan Sports Mag's Spec V. If it wasn't for that UpRev would probably have never considered playing with the QR.
It won't work on the 02-03 cars. The only thing that didn't work was the CVVT tuning, and UpRev can't get a car to come by their shop to get it ironed out. I have about 4 or 5 different versions of teh pro tuner software on my computer from going back and forth through e-mail sorting it out.
There isn't a big enough interest in the Sentra community for them to make the Sentra a priority over the 350Z's, Titans, G35's, the new 370Z, and GTR. It's just good business sense.
The program will let you tune everything but the cam timing or secondary intake runners on the QR for now............ I've got money on the cam timing holding good gains for the QR, especially with aftermarket cams.
If someone in Austin Texas would come of the $$ to let UpRev dyno tune their car and sort out the cam timing it'd be a good day for teh sentra.
You can set teh rev limit to 10,000rpms just by clicking a few buttons, you can do anything to the ignition timing, fuel tables, you can even tune the throttle body to open 100% before 3000 rpms, blah blah blah. If you lived in Georgia I could let a shop I'm in good with let me tune your car there, but you'd still have to pay for the license.
I bet a VQ swapped Sentra could get some good numbers tuned out of it.
So if I bring you a vq sentra, how much money do I need to have in my pocket?
Mind you I already seen a vq sentra put down 280 with the emanage untimate (I was the camera man)
Jones & Wuk-Up
Won't work with the 02-03 6 speed no can system
