    Hi

some of them we install on wheels, some of them are installed by the customer, it's always the customer's choice - we charge $100 to get it done, some prefer to DIY and save...

    Have a great day,

Superspec: I really must insist that you have it done within the next 7-10 days, otherwise I will have to pass the deal on to the next person.

Has anyone installed the Bride shift and e-brake boots on their Spec? I'd love to see some pics. I am seriously considering dropping the cash for this. But I'd love to see a sample on an actual Spec first.

Yea I always hate to see it happen with the stock brackets but they do that sometimes (not just on the Sentras, many cars in fact). There is a very simple remedy, just get a lenght of wire of similar girth (the cloth hangers used by drycleaners are perfect. No, I am not joking, they are) and form it to the shape you need, you can even form it as you feed it into the hem on the bottom of the boot which makes it much easier to install than using the stock bracket which usually cannot be deformed and you have to fight with it's corners to go through the leather properly...

Maciek, is it ok to use a heat gun to make the leather more plyable? that has been a lot of my problem with doing this, i fractured my index finger a few weeks ago.

    Hi

in general yes, you can but you have to do it from the inside to avoid scorching the outside surface of the leather, also make sure to start with the lowest heat setting on the gun and only work it up if needed...

we shall have pic today, maybe not completely finished but i have 1 of the 4 holes done. let me just say this though. #1 dont be in a hurry, it takes time and lots of it to do and do well. #2 dont sit on the floor to do this! i barely got up and when i did i immediately had to fall back on the couch...then again i am older than half the people on the site. haha

ok, i only warmed it up a little bit. my house stays between 65-70* so the leather was a little stiff. i kept the heat on low and about a foot away.

And now... something you've all been waiting for since we announced our range of custom steering wheel covers

Ladies and Gentlemen - we've just developed a solution for STEERING WHEEL PADDING! WooHoo!!!

A specially resized wheel wrap along with specially selected padding foam underneath will make your wheel approx. 1/8 to 3/16 inch thicker. What's even more, the foam we use has a very small compression factor so no smooshy feeling of a soft wheel some upholsterers out there offer. just a firm and sporty grip All in all... it will be PERFECT!

See the example of the wheel that is in desperate need of some pading - the 4gen Firebird. On the left - stock wheel reupholstered. On the right - another wheel of the same kind wrapped in padding foam:

And here's only a quick trial of how it can look wrapped in leather - see the difference?

And, of course, padding will be available for all our steering wheel wraps soon!

    Take care

Got my goodies on Saturday. I will post pics of them installed in my Spec later this week. I went with leather w/ orange CF stripe for both the shifter and E-brake boot. Name: IMG_1934.jpg
