I just got a set of Federal SS-595's about a week ago. I went with 235/40/17 this time instead of my old 245/40/17 Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's. So far, they have way more grip than the Hankooks. I can barely chirp them going into second gear now and cornering is more precise and more stable. Another reason I went with 235's was to try and solve my rubbing issue in the passenger rear tire. Well, I didn't account for the Federals rim protector which actually makes the sidewalls stick out farther than my 245 Hankooks. So, it still rubs, but it looks so much beefier and more aggressive than the Hankooks. So, If you're considering Federals, Just remember the sidewall will stick out about two sizes bigger than what it says; these 235's are more like 255's. I took some pics for comparison.

those are dope man, glad to hear you like them. i will be picking up a set that same size today. how wide are your rims?
They're 8" wide... when I had the Hankook 245's, they felt slightly to wide like it was causing the sidewalls to roll more. These feel so much more precise with more feedback.
Nice tires. And that Spec looks so clean man! Just paint the lip and it's perfect imo.
