You have "regular" pistons in that block after looking at a Spec V piston I have, I guess the whole short block assembly was swapped out. The piston in the other image is a 1st gen piston, they made a lot of changes to the pistons between the generations. Do you have a lemon law in your state...

Clutch could be finally going out and/or the throw out bearing. Does the noise change during clutch operation?

Place the hoses any where that they fit either as close to OEM as possible or go custom. There is no mod needed to install it. It's really straight forward. We will try and get the install thread moved at some point for a lot of 2J products.

Back driver side is the evap canister, there is an elbow of sorts that if you clean out and reinstall you should be good....iirc. If you look for evap can cleaning it should come up.

Maybe your tranny oil needs to be changed.

You will need to plug one hole and that's where it mates to the block. I'm trying to find ther images I had of the 2nd gen bs that I took apart.

You can just plug the oil port and bolt the bs back in. No reason to reconnect it, if you do it has to be timed as well.

Ensure you do the relearns after clearing the codes first.

Worse case we can find the actual parts and the corresponding numbers, I have been through the IPB/arts fiche so many times with once in a while issues that I was able to get an answer from someone else on here.

Thought you said you have the FSM what ever the case, that is all of them for that year in the link above, I think they are somewhere on this site but it was easier to get a link from the other place.

I have an 03 so my engine is mounted different, I don't remember what the vibrations were like on stock mounts but I didn't mind it with inserts.

I will say the tb, if the contacts in the black housing address worn you won't get a contact. Have you shot the pedal for a short? Idle relearn won't have an effect until you do the tb relearn first. How did you verify the tb wasn't moving?

That ECU will not work, only 02 & 03. Can almost guarantee it's not the ecu. Have you done any relearns yet
