After 3 years of prototyping this idea, today we finished our 2JR Hi-Power Intake. And its sickly fast. I mean flat out stupid fast. We never expected this much power. The motor pulls like a fckn train, everywhere.

I cannot wait to dyno the car on Monday/Tuesday. I have never, ever put a part on any car that added this much NA power. I dont know if it makes 20whp, but it sure damn feels like it. Which is why I already claimed it in the title. We are that confident in it.

Goodbye secondaries. Goodbye crappy casting. Goodbye shitty 02-06 OEM plenum design.

Here is a teaser

Justin's Turbo QR (treadstone). This is from a roll. He runs 5psi in 1st and 2nd, then 9psi in 3rd. When he hit 3rd, at 5k rpm, the motor hesitated for a sec (you can hear it in the vid) then picked back up. The head gasket is about shot. So its not a perfect turbo v 2JR NA but its close.

This is a 05 motor we pulled from a junkyard. Stock block/head.

Mod list:

1. Nismo Catback
2. Stillen 2 1/4" header
3. 2JR pulley
4. Fidanza Flywheel
5. Nismo'ish CAI
6. C1 cams/springs with 7.2K '03 ECU
7. 2JR Intake
8. BS Chain cut

No SAFC, No Headwork, No crank, pistons, rods, No Uprev tune
These are basic mods that most everyone has (except for the cams). I assume most have an exhaust, tiny header, pulley, etc.

Is that a B16 type intake?

Also, no significant torque loss with out the secondaries?

Not really, its just that nobody ever gave that motor the attention it needed. The reason why there are so many SR20 parts is because its been out for 20yrs. Thats the same reason why there are so many B-series Honda parts.

The QR is a relatively new motor. Everyone discounted it when it arrived and never showed it any love. Once we starting winning in the car, then we knew what we had. Its a bad ass motor.

Does the loss of the secondaries affect low end torque?

Ray, you are damn right it would. But right now we want to keep costs low and run the QR. Later we may have adapter for the VQ TB, if the bugs ever get worked out.

There is ZERO tq loss. This is due to our header design and the efficiency of the intake. Its like a perfect match.

We invite ANYONE in atlanta to come drive the car tomorrow. It will blow your mind.
