So what does the stock ecu need to run bare minimum? What needs to be included in the harness as far as sensors go? Is there a way to bypass the NATS without spending $350 at uprev?
I'm looking to run e85/w a flex fuel sensor on my 02 spec -v with some cooling mods and an exhaust to start tracking it a bit, (suspension and chassis work is coming first.) I'm wondering basically how far can I go on the stock ecu before I need a full reflash or stand-alone setup?

IIRC you'll need a standalone, uprev wont compensate for the plans, or read a flex fuel sensor. to the best of my knowledge anyaway. Until you get into fuel tuning and extra sensors, it will work tho. but if your plans are to go flex fuel anyway, might be more cost effective to just go stand alone. I know the stock ecu can be tuned for e-85, or whatever fuel you are using, but it cannot sense the fuel and adjust the tune accordingly, it has to be a manual selection
