So my rear left caliper is leaking and I was keeping it full until I got the caliper and hose(got them today). Question is, why would all of a sudden i lose all brakes? The pedal was fine and brakes felt fine until Monday i went to leave for work and my pedal went clear to the floor. I babied it 12 miles to work and back. So while it was leaking, the brakes and pedal were fine, then monday the pedal went clear to the floor with no brake light on and appears to have fluid in it. Could my master cylinder have gone out? Another thing, does my master cylinder have 2 compartments for front and back? 02 b15. It only has 1 cap to fill so I'm assuming not.

Most likely culprit is air in the brake line. Try re-bleeding the lines and see if that helps.

One cylinder for front and rear.
What ever seal was leaking final gave out and you more than likely had enough fluid left in the reservoir to not trip the light or the sensor doesn't work anymore.
