Up for sale in the San Diego area is a fully loaded 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V in Molten Silver for $2195-OBO. It has the sunroof, Rockford Fosgate, 6 Disc CD Changer, ABS with F+S airbags, and in cabin microfilter. It has 103,xxx miles, needs a new engine, and a lot of work. It is a 1 owner vehicle with a clear title and has been my daily driver for 10 years. No low-ballers please, will give to charity in February if there are no takers. I would like an enthusiast who will keep it alive to be the owner of it, that is why I am posting it here.
Let's get the bad news out of the way:
-Needs new engine, it consumes 2 quarts of oil in about 250 miles
-Air Conditioning does not work, there is a freon leak
-The paint or what is left of it is faded pretty much everywhere and will never be a looker unless you want to repaint it
-The welds for the trunk latch have broken off and the trunk alignment is way off. Also, it is very tricky to close trunk (I can show you how).
-The fit and finish is really bad after ten years. The gaps have only gotten bigger.
-There are a lot of little things malfunctioning like the Vanity Mirror fell off, the CD Player doesn't read CDs (the changer does), etc.
-1 accident bumper kissed from Saturn Ion. No damage at all when the insurance adjuster came.
-1 key and 1 key fob
The good:
-The seats are in good condition (typical wear from daily use after 10 years)
-ACT Clutch installed at 75,000 miles (when new engine was installed) and all-aluminum Koyo radiator installed, too.
-Tires installed around 80,000 miles are BF Goodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S
-Other than the aformentioned replaced parts, everything else is stock (took out the wing for better visibility, but will come with the car).
This car was not Nissan quality at its best but was a fun little car while it lasted. The engine issues are well documented. If you consider dropping in a new engine I would also replace the headers with no catalyctic converter. For as much as this car gave me a lot of grief, I had a joy while it lasted. You can rebuid it or use it as a parts car.
Please private message me with any questions or offers. I will get back to you in a timely manner. $2195-OBO. Thank you.
