@AG-Admin, I think at this point, since there are a few people that constantly post, and it has been broght to my attention, we need to either exclude the 'adult discussion' thread from the main page, or, IMHO a better idea, create one portal page, that has 3 options on it, for 'social networking', 'for sale' and 'technical posts', each with its own shout box, so that users can better go to the site that interests them I dont know if this is possible with the software, but it would make things easier on people, when the adult discussion thread gets going, it can bury a post very fast, and someone looking for parts can be left in the dark. I thank you for your consideration on this!!!

I don't think we can get a shout box for each section. unless you know a forum that has that and it's a vb forum, I can ask our team to try and replicate it. but you mean this thread right?

we can just divide the thread.

@AG-Admin or, just isolated that thread from the shout box, so it doesnt show up in there, this may be easier, but I do not know if the software can do that or not.

wait. there is no shout box here... is there.

Are you talking about removing notifications from New Posts?

This section? this I can do :)

@AG-Admin, not the new posts page, this page: http://www.b15u.com/content/

we call it the shout box, it updates every time someone posts a message, and you can chat there, if we could keep the adult discussion thread out of it, not deleted or closed, or inactive, just keep it out of the new post box, that would be great, many people use the shout box to see for sale and technical threads as they pop up, and the adult discussion thread overwhelms it fast on a good day.

Hey there,

I took a look at the shoutbox plug-in in the back end, we are unable to block out individual threads from sending notifications.
It will only allow us to block out entire sections from sending notifications.
This means we would have to block out the entire Lounge section, to achieve what you requested. This would be the easiest and cleanest route.
If you are okay with the entire lounge section being blocked from sending out notifications to the shoutbox, I can apply that change quickly.

Now an alternate route, would be to move the thread in question to its own section on the site.
This may cause a little bit of confusion to members, but will block just that thread as requested.

Let me know what route you would like us to take.

Thank you,

Richard.

@AG-Admin, this would be satisfactory to me, I will ask the other frequent users their thoughts on it and get back to you
