hey guys I'm super new at forced induction... but I bought a precision turbo kit off a friend. It has 300 miles on it so it's cocked locked and ready to rock.

I paid 500 and got: precision turbo 50 trim, precision intercooler, vortech bov, tial wastegate, revhard manifold (for honda), intercooler piping, and a hose... I still need to get a 255 fuel pump, and a new manifold.. I plan to run a safe 6-7psi because I don't have any supporting mods.

questions, comments, concerns are more than welcome !

These are the parts I was thinking I need to buy, if you disagree or know of anything else I will need please let me know. Also if there are better or cheaper parts that I should use let me know !

Personally, I would go with treadstone parts for everything else you still need. You got a deal on those parts though!
Treadstone's DP are on sale I believe, check their clearance section.

440 injectors max out around 310whp. At 6psi you'll probably already be using them at about 80% of their capacity. Look for mopar stage 1 srt4 injectors, 577cc. usually aroudn $100, or as cheap as $50 on srt forums.

You should be ok with stock fuel pump for a while (years possibly), I wouldn't have it on the first install list. Add it once you get more funds or feel like it's going out.

would not recommend ebay oil return and feed line kit, i went to a store where i had 2 stainless steel lines made, u can buy the flanges and gaskets from treadstone or ebay....stay away from the turbonetics manifold, and i would get the treadstone manifold and downpipe....and some titanium heat wrap for dp...3" treadstone exhaust is a horrible fit stay away...Good luck man turbo is the shit...tore an sti up 2nite

Honestly, the turbo 101 thread is good for learning about turbos, but when it comes to the questions he asked, it's not going to help him out. My post didn't say anything turbo 101 says.

And 440cc's will be ok, but you really don't want to be running your injectors near full capacity. Not to mention if you want to turn the boost up later to 9, 10 or 11psi, 440cc injectors are going to stop you.

@watkins, take advice from the ppl who r already boosted...when sammy EVENTUALLY mans up and gets his "kit" installed, and he asks for advice u will kno y

#9 ·
Watkins, you don't have to listen to me. But I will tell you if anyone is a personal friend and acts like the mother of someone looking to upgrade their coilpacks cause they think they are making "so much power", you really don't want to listen to what they have to say.

Just trying to be a friend here. Don't listen to people who think they know it all because they are running the wrong set up. Do it right the first time. It'll save you headache and money.

Ditto that man. Seems like no one can ask a question related to turbo in this forum without it turning into a shit fest.

OP you need to find another forum that will help you pal. Seems like the mod staff is non existant here

to help you with your questions.

440s are fine, But bigger is better especially since the bigger ones cost the same. I have been running 440's for 4 years at 7psi and its fine, but I know i am limited when i go to up the boost

I recommend upgrading the pump.

Getting a treadstone manifold and Downpipe is your best bet. Since they are made for each other it will be a direct bolt on. Unless you know a welder that can make a custom downpipe, treadstone is the way to go

Intercooler piping is up to you. you can get a universal piping kit for just over $100 on ebay. A friend did that for his kit. worked fine. Piping is thin but treadstone is only slightly thicker. Either will be fine just becareful not to crush the piping with the t-bolt clamp. If you have a CAI you can use that for the upper portion and have the i/c piping meet up with it. I did that and it works great.

If you have anymore questions you can pm me, sammy or shogun

If I really need to go over it with you how your contradicting yourself, your seriously dumber than I thought.....

Uh, no one here is mad man.... Actually Im in a humerous mood due to you showing your lack of knowledge.

To OP - feel free to pm for USEFUL information. GL

Oh and as far as the fuel pump my buddy with his spec-v was able to go to 10psi on stock pump, I aswell can go to 10psi on stock pump. Anything higher it would be good to upgrade. :)

Downpipe:
-go with treadstone manifold and dp $600 for both right now instead of $750
-oil lines should not be ebay, id get stainless steel lines with fittings crimped on the ends, do this for return line and feed
-get the walboro 255 fuel pump its 86 bucks shipped brand new
-440cc injectors will work with 6psi
-stay away from 3" treadstone exhaust, 2.5" is fine 2 tho good to set u up to upgrade ur shit
-any universal intercooler piping kit will work

good luck man, sorry for the thread jack

Thank you for a legit post.

God forbid anybody ever ask a turbo question without having one on their car prior. Apparently if it didn't come that way you're not even allowed to discuss boosting your car... Because every single Sentra didn't come stock n/a.
Seriously, you three from "h-town" need to quit fucking up threads of people who are looking for actual advice. Nobody wants this shit here.

Second you can buy the cheaper manifold on ebay the like treadstone knock off someone bought it and said good things about it...When it comes to downpipes i personally believe it is worth paying for one they are a bitch to make especially 3 inch...So manifold can cheap on i would buy the downpipe making one a capital B

#19 ·
@charca, u dont kno shit man, if u wanted to put ur 2 cents in last night would have been fine, cuz u would have got flamed..but its a little 2 late

@watkins....its up 2 u man...u can go cheaper get the autoboost/godspeed manifold, and have a custom dp made...and its not about the quality of treadstone, its jus the fact that there manifold and dp lineup perfectly

#20 ·
@ the ppl who are n/a tryn to give this man advice, he can read up on other ppls shit too..but u dont kno shit about boost until u walked it and dealt with it...would i tell nasa how to build a space shuttle? FUCK NO..Y? cuz i dont kno shit about it

For more power on a 50 trim, 3" exhaust after the down pipe, remove the balance shaft for safety + more oil capacity, and a bump to 9 psi. Lol. the 50 should be good for around 300-350whp.
I hear from 50trim to 57trim is a significant change, and then there is a 60trim which I don't know much about but I would imagine may be best if you're pushing more lbs and/or higher rev limiter.

#29 ·
a 50 trim running 7 psi is only gonna give about 250ish. IMO they are too small. They spool too quick if you are using a safc, and dont have enough flow for the upper rpms. I dont remember if you said you already had a turbo, if not then go for a 57 or 60. If you already have a 50 then keep it, learn with it, and when you want more power go bigger.

Well I will probably sell my nismo catback and buy a custom 3" exhaust with like a flomaster tip.. I do already have the turbo, intercooler, wastegate, manifold (for Honda),blow off valve, some piping, and an oil line. I got that for $550 so I felt like it was too good of a deal to pass on. I just didn't know when I bought it that id still have to spend another 1000 to get going lol
