Yeah, stick with the 440's, the only thing you can tune with besides a full stand alone is a Apexi piggyback and on the qg18 the highest it will tune to is around the 575cc mark, now the Apexi Neo can tune as high as 650cc on our motors, but that is pushing the fuel tuner and I highly doubt anyone will ever build a qg18 capable of NEEDING that large of an injector unless you are on 15psi running E85! Being as how the stock size injector is 198cc if I remember correctly, 440cc is over double and that is MORE than enough to effectively scatter the qg if you ever hit a boost level high enough to outrun those injectors!

Just buy some Subaru WRX stock 440cc injectors, put them in the stock fuel rail... it sounds to me like you still have a bunch to learn about all of this before you venture off into the land of turbo's, you sound like you are still pretty new... so lets start off by hearing what all you have and what you are planning on getting and we will see if you are on the rite track.

Take your time with it man guarantee it will be worth it in the end. Seems like you got a good start though. Get those 440s, downpipe, oil feed and return lines, Tap the oil pan, and choose your oil supply method(oil sandwich or nissport adapter). You should be pretty much good to go from there. I say get some slim fans too really helps with the space in the engine bay and get ready to have fun wiring up the SAFC2 I know the install diagram is somewhere on this site and any questions let us know. We all got to start somewhere. Oh and a boost gauge and AFR Gauge would be a good idea too ^^

I'm boosting soon and i have a couple questions. I've done a bit of digging but have not found a 100% answer on 2 things. One is if i can run uprev tuning, I have an 06 with cruise control which leads me to believe that it should work just fine. second is does anyone have a photo or dimensions of their downpipe? I've been told a mazda protige speed one would work. Thanks ahead of time for anyone answering these questions

For those wanting to turbo the 2000-2006 1.8l Sentra that has the QG18DE engine.

The QG is not one of the friendliest engines to simply add bolt-ons to increase power. If you look to add simple bolt-ons like i/e/h unfourtunatly you wont gain much. Stock, the QG produces about 90-95whp on a dyno. With the basic bolt-ons (i/e/h) it produces around 115whp. Because of this going Turbo is the best option for the engine.

It has been recorded and discussed that the engine is capable of withstanding up to 210whp with no issues. Anything above that amount of power will require the internals to be upgraded. Also, if you plan on going turbo, be sure not to do it unless you have a 5 speed manual transmission. Reason being the automatic 4 speed transmission is not strong enough for the power a boosted engine will throw at it.

From personal experience turboing this car is A LOT of fun. But be sure to read a lot about boosting and ask as many questions as it takes for you to feel confident in what your doing. This is something very do-able, and if you google online about it im sure you'll find many doubtfull comments about going through with it. Don't let that stop you, many people had/have their doubts even about the QR engine and Travis was able to prove otherwise. These are all opinons and mostly from individuals who dont have any experience. So with that said ON TO THE PARTS LIST.
