Has anyone had to refix a badge onto their car ?
What is the best way ?
The badge is hollow plastic which used to have rubber in it and double-sided tape to fix but after having the rear hatch replaced the repairers gave me the badge back but it does not have the rubber inside it and the shape makes it difficult to cut double-sided tape for it.

Still would like to know if anyone has an answer to this.
I'm thinking probably fill the voids with a rubber compound which will then give me a smooth surface for some type of rubberised adhesive.

I have never had to, after accidents the body shop tends to get replacement badges or that was my experience from a long time ago.

Exacto and double-sided tape...and patience.

Exactly, 3m VHB double sided tape, alcohol wipes, xacto, and as cricki said, patience. Oh and a steady hand.

Yep. Double sided tape it will push in the void and stick where it needs. Helpful hint before you put it on, run you two lines of masking tape 1 above and one below where the emblem is being placed. This will help you keep it straight when you do put it on. It's easier to reline a strip of masking tape than messing with the emblem.
