I would think it would be beneficial. The only draw back is the alternator is going g to be under alot of demand and a larger battery may be in order as well. Wonder what the net gain would be with the hp drain being transferred to the alternator.

Not sure if there would be a loss of feel it looks like they just switch the pump from being driven by a belt off the engine and drive it with an electric motor. Similar to how they operate a electric hydraulic snow plow pump.
