My hood is rattling, I found the problem but I don't know how to fix it!

So my car had this rattling sound on the right side, either while driving or when closing the copilot door. I checked and noticed that it came from the hood.

I discovered it's the support, compared to the one on the left hand side, it doesn't have a rubber "gasket" which stops it from rattling around. Here's a picture:

And here's a diagram of what I suppose I need to do:

I believe I need a rubber gasket that surrounds the protuding "holder", however from what I see, it seems I can't actually un-latch the hood from the "holder", am I right? What would you guys suggest?

I had the same rattling noise,mine was coming from the latch , i tighten my latch down further for a snug fit , maybe u can do that with the side to?

how did you tighten it down more? I got the same problem it's annoying

loosen the 2 bolts on the hinge , get underneath the car and with a longass ratchet tighten the bolts while pulling as hard as u can . I gotta do it again tomorrow, it drives me up a wall how much it squeaks.

hey i just tightened down the latch and there is also 2 rubber stops on the frame,u can adjust the height of these. I played with them for 5 minutes adn now my hood doesnt jiggle at all.Hope this helps

Hmmm I'll have to check that out, not sure it will help since the hood is "free floating" so it would still jump up and down and make it's noise.
