Hello all. having some trouble trobleshooting my car. its a QG18DE Engine . radiator fan isnt working BOTH Wires are NEGATIVELY CHARGED as it should and power is switched when relay is turned on if not mistaken.
BUT its NOT turning on., EVEN With temp sensor unpluged (that sensor makes fan turn on when unpluged by alternator)
both relays are fine i even opened the CAP on the relay and unplugging the sensor i see the relay TURNS ON and engages, BUT its STILL NEGATIVELY charged on both sides. im so confused! 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢

You have 2 relays, and they share a negative wire for ground for high abs low IIRC, with out looking at the schematic.
hey no abs

What do you mean by "negatively charged" ?
The easiest things to do are unplug the fan and test the resistance of the fan motor to make sure it is not open-circuit and also check the voltage on the plug pins to a ground point on the body for signs of 12V
no fans turn on

unjacking fan plug with tester. both are 12v grounds// and yea fans wrk when hotwired

So let me see if I have all this correct ...
  • the fans run when tested with 12V but not connected to the plug (so fan motors are OK)
  • the relays switch (so fan relays are OK)
  • there is no voltage at the fan plugs

Have you checked the fan fuses ?
correct
and if relay turns on means its getting power. so fuses shud be good
